Exam Details
This course is designed to build participants’ understanding of key concepts and domains covered in the Certified Professional in Digital Health Transformation Strategy (CPDHTS™) certification.
To be eligible for the CPDHTS™ exam, participants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Pathway 1: Hold a bachelor’s degree and have five years of information and management systems experience, including three years in a healthcare setting.
- Pathway 2: Hold a graduate degree or higher and have three years of experience, including two in a healthcare setting.
- Pathway 3: Have at least 10 years of information and management systems experience, with eight years in a healthcare setting.
The exam is a two-hour, 100-question multiple-choice assessment focused on competencies in digital health transformation strategy. Exams are administered at Pearson VUE Testing Centres and require application approval. Successful applicants will receive an eligibility ID to schedule their exam.
Certification is valid for two years. Renewal may be completed by either:
- Retaking and passing the CPDHTS™ exam within 90 days of the renewal deadline
- Completing 30 Continuing Education (CE) hours, of which at least 15 must be from HIMSS-approved activities and two hours must address ethics or conflicts of interest
