Repetitive digital tasks can be automated quickly and effectively with the right tools. This beginner-level course introduces participants to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) using UiPath. Through a series of structured modules and hands-on activities, they will learn how to capture actions, extract data, and automate tasks across platforms including Excel, PDF, and email.
Learning Outcomes:
Understand RPA principles and UiPath architecture
Capture on-screen actions using recording functions
Scrape data from applications for automation
Build automation workflows for Excel, PDFs, and email
Apply control flows and variables in UiPath processes
Key Topics:
Basics of Robotic Process Automation and UiPath interface
Data scraping and task recording in UiPath
Decision-making flows and control structures
Automation for spreadsheet, document, and email processes
Module 1: Introduction to Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
This module will give a brief historical evaluation and introduction to RPA. You will also understand when and why to choose RPA and detailed view of working of Robotic Process Automation and its implementation.
Module 2: Variables and Data Types
In this module, you will understand how to deal and work with variables and arguments in UiPath, and the concepts involved.
Module 3: Decision Making and Control Flow
In this module, the learners will understand that UiPath provides an automated workflow design, which can be used without programming knowledge.
Module 4: Introduction to Recordings
In this module, the learners will understand the recording function of the application. The recording function enables the user to capture user’s action on the screen and translate them into sequences.
Module 5: Extracting Data
In this module, the learners will understand how to use the data scraping function of the software application. Data and screen scraping allows the user to save a lot of time to automate certain business process.
Module 6: Automation with Excel, PDFs, Emails
In this module, the learners will be exposed to a brief introduction to Excel, PDF and Email Automation.
